December 2021 Newsletter

Dear Members:

Hello everyone. I'm grateful to have been able to spend the Christmas holiday with my family and close friends. 2021 was another year with COVID-19 in the air, although it could be burdensome to mask-up every day, being fully vaccinated and boosted allowed me to have fun, traveling, hiking, and attending our I. I. LA Chapter meetings.

As 2022 commences, a new kind of corona strain is making noise again. I make it a point not to panic, continue to wash and sanitize my hands, and wear a mask as is my normal practice.

Annual Luncheon Postponed

Our Chapter New Year's Luncheon party is postponed until Sunday, February 27, 2022. We ask all attendees to wash/sanitize their hands every 30 minutes, fully wear a mask (when needing to de-mask please step outside the venue for a few minutes), and enjoy our time gathering together.

Remember to bring your old vases to donate to the silent auction.

April Workshop

On Sunday, April 24, 2022, the workshop by Ohara School and Mrs. Satsuki Palter is scheduled. Please register for our February workshop by completing the attached form and returning it to Michiyo Nakamura with your registration fee. The registration deadline is April 17, 2022. As always, you are welcome to bring a friend to any of our workshops at the non-member registration fee.
