Greens are so beautiful and in Sogetsu and ikebana we have used so many things in green, but never ever went underground where the roots are. And I think the roots are beautiful. When you come up from the earth you will see branches and all kinds of things that you see now (dried flowers, dried roots, branches, leaves, vinyl, toy tires, kelp and driftwood) in front of you that were never in a garden show or Sogetsu.
